Hi Irene, yes I agree it is an interesting response from NICE and I detect a defensiveness? This is a good sign in my view and shows the pressure for the many patient groups does have some effect... not least political.
I was aware that NICE would not publish any recommendations or guidance during the election period... which is why I have left the petition open. I am glad to see it is still collecting signatures and we are now just a few under 1500! I have been advised that until we know which administration will be in charge there is little point in sending it to the DH ministers. They all have their minds on the election, which is understandable, so I am hoping that the petition will be of more effect when the new DH minister/s are established.
