Steven, Thanks for posting this video clip from CML society of Canada. My comments are that it is useful but i felt the actual animated section which attempted to describe "How PCR works" assumed quite a high level of existing knowledge about the testing procedure. Whilst the analogy of PCr finding a "needle in a haystack" is clear, how the test acheives this seems very complicated and seems to assume the viewer understands all the various technical terms used . We are hoping that somebody from the Kings College Hospital Lab might be addressing our next patient group meeting on the various tests for CML monitoring so might be clearer on the terms then !!
