Hi all, just to let you know whats happening. I have now had three rising PCRS, having gone from virtually undetectable to 1.6 in the last four weeks. I was refused the pace trial as I was too well! But now this is happening. Having been told to stop Bosutinib due to elevated liver function results, I have now been told to go back on it straight away but at the same reduced dose. The correct dose should be 500mg but I only managed 100mg. When the drug was increased to 200mg my liver didnt like it. I am now concerned that such a low dose wont control the rising BCR ABL. Following a call frm the hopsital on Friday they have asked me to go in for another PCR on Monday.
And there was me looking forward to a restfull holiday the follwowing weekend! I know I shall be on the phone chasing results rather than soaking up some sunshine.
Any advise would be welcome.
Thanks to all.

Rising PCR & Bosutinib
Hi Ali... you liver is obviously complaining loud and clear! The only thing I can suggest is that you consider taking a liver supporting supplement- many are available in good chemists etc- but Health Aid to a good one which contains Amino Acids, Dandelion and Milk Thistle...it is called Livercare.
Or if you have not done so already you could just try Milk Thistle.
Best Sandy
I hope you can relax enough to enjoy your holiday!
Hi Ali - so sorry to hear you're having on-going problems. Is there a chance they would reconsider you for the PACE trial if your results are rising? It must be a real worry. Yes maybe the milk thistle will help support your liver so you can tolerate the drugs. Hope you do manange to still have a good holiday and you get some clarity soon.
best wishes
Joanna
