Becky had a baby boy!!!!

Hi everyone, I have not been on here for a while as Becky (19) was responding well to Dasatinib with no adverse side effects. She did however, find out when she was 28 weeks that she was pregnant. She had been taking Dasatinib but was vomiting it back up. The baby was checked out for abnormalities throughout the remainder of the pregnancy, and concerns were for a problem with the brain. There was a larger than normal gap at the back of the cerebelum. We were told that they do not usually check that part of the brain so they told us to just be aware of it. Becky was adament that the baby was ok and on the 12th August Joseph was born 2 weeks early. He was a healthy 7lbs 3oz. He has since had checks on his brain and all is normal. Just thought I would post this as I thought it would be nice to report some good news. Dawn xx

Many congratulations to Becky on the birth of her baby, Joseph. I do hope she is now  back on therapy? and all his well with her. This is wonderful news and I am sure it will help those who are planning families to know that many women with CML are able to manage their disease without negative effects, whilst going through a pregnancy.

best wishes,

Sandy
