Just found out today i can go back on Nilotinib after 3 weeks off for platelets being low, so rather emotional anyway!

Love to all on CML awareness day, we can do this.

Roll on the cure ...

So happy to hear your good news that you can go back on Nilotonib glad to hear your platelets have come up so you can re start.

Let us know how you get on with Nilotonib now you have started again.

It was so lovely to meet you last Saturday at our meeting hope you enjoyed it & found it of help So Glad you got to meet Sue & also everyone else as it always makes things seem so much better when you talk to other CML patients.

I know you are newly diagnosed but you  are doing really well & we are everyone here is always here for you to answer anything you want to know amongest this group there is a wealth of knowledge of CML so someone will always be able to answer any questions.

Hope to see you at our next meeting in the mean time keep up the good work I can imagine how emotional you must of felt today with restarting your Nitlotonib & an approriate day CML Awareness It is an emotional & roller coaster ride those first few months after diagnosis & as you said on Saturday getting to grasps with all the new terminology but you will get there & everyone is here for you.

Let us know how you get on with your treatment & look forward to seeing you at our next meeting. You have my email if there is anything you want to know or any help just email me.

Hi Carol
Thanks for your lovely post. Sorry I have not been on the site for a while and only just spotted it! I have felt rather awful starting NIlotinib again this time, I had quite an upset tummy which I have not had before. I have also had a lot of joint pain which again I never had before. However, 6 days in things are settling down and I feel a bit better, I am also back to work so that has helped keep me busy. Just tired and sore now.
Thanks again for being so welcoming at the meeting a few weeks ago, I was telling my husband it was so good to Just sit and listen to others stories, especially as many are far ahead of me, and doing so well!
I have just had another bone marrow done today (ouch) so we have everything crossed for the results in a few weeks.
I look forward to the next meeting and hopefully seeing everyone again ( if I can get childcare!)
thanks again for your support
