Just checking in

Hi everyone

I posed on here just before christmas to let you know that Alastair, my husband very sadly passed away. I still read the forum as I still have an avid interest in all things CML. I'm not sure if I am allowed to do this but I wanted to spread the word that my twin brother, Mark is running the Dead Sea Marathon in Jordon (he lives in Abu Dhabi) on 6th April and all proceeds are going to Anthony Nolan Trust who do tremendous work regarding blood cancers and locating bone marrow donors. I have attached a link if anyone would like to donate

https://www.anthonynolanevents.org.uk/myeventpage.asp?participant=4797&p...

I've also submitted an article to several local newspapers near where I live in Co. Derry N.Ireland to spread the word about becoming a bone marrow donor and the importance of doing so

I hope everyone is doing well and I think about you and all your families all the time.

Regards,

Moira

Thanks Moira, it's fine to put the link on here. I would say that there are several registries and I would like to mention that for those who are from black and ethnic minority backgrounds the ACLT (African Caribbean Leukamia Trust) also do great work in recruiting donors for patients from diverse backgrounds.

I do hope you are managing OK and of course you are always welcome to post here, carers/family need support too.

Very best wishes,

Sandy
