After coming of gleevec in dec due to severe side effects , i then started dasatinib , in the last few months started to get big spots on head and upper body which hurt and itch , due to my last side effects these are not to bad . just wondered if anybody else has had this and if so how they treated it thanks paul

Hi
Im on Nilotinib and over the last 3 months or so i have had a few spots my consultant and GP said its down to the medication.

however in the last 2/3 weeks i have got a few spots on my forehead and now on my cheek.

off the see a dermatologist.

Have been trying various medications prescribed by GP but there not working.
I'll let you know how I get on.

Hi Jonah - I have these since moving to Dastatnib some 18 months ago, they seem to come and go, and pop up across my body.

I kind of just live with them, tried various spot creams, for me I found germaine has been the most effective

Hi Jonah,

I've been on Dasatinib for 2 years and that's the only side effect I get apart from the occasional puffy eyes. The spots are normally at the back of my head in my hair but now and again on my forehead.
They are not too bad and are well worth putting up with as this medication looks like its doing the trick on the CML.
Hope you are keeping well apart from this problem.

Cheers

Hi

I've been on Dasatinib for about 6 months and I get these, in the scalp, forehead, & chest. They are like a spot but without the head and can be quite red and painful.

The best thing I've found is to leave them alone! Anything else seems to make them worse.
