Hi all,not posted in ages,dx 03 taking glivec and im doing great,just a quick question ,feeling unwell tonight,sore throat ,high temp etc,am i ok to take paracetamol? thank you.xx

Hi Kathy... it is OK to take paracetamol. The only caution is that you do not take it for long periods of time- i.e consistently. - but rather like you would normally, for headache, flu etc.
Paracetamol (Tylenol in the US) is metabolised via the liver (like imatinib and all TKIs) which is why we used to be cautioned not to take it if we were treated with imatinib.
