UK CML patient and Family Day- Wolfson College, Oxford - Saturday Nov. 16th 3013

CML Patient and Family Day. There are still some places left, but as it is only 3 weeks or so away it is best to register asap. Looking at the agenda it look like it will be a really interesting day. This is always a great chance to meet up face to face with other CML patients and their families which is a great way to 'experience' the support of the CML community. The expert clinicians who are speaking on the day will give their time and expertise freely- another great opportunity to access some of the best clinicians working in this field. Don't miss your chance to speak to CML patients and expert clinicians. Please share this with your fellow patients in your clinic who might not be aware of the day or who do not have access to the internet. If you have not done so already then read details in the link below then register by clicking on the link contained in the flyer: http://www.cmlsupport.org.uk/sites/default/files/UK%20PatientCarer%20Day... Sandy

Have reposted the link onto Facebook CML group, will be a good day. Nigel

Looking forward to it. Been so busy the last year it will be really good to update myself on current developments.
Hope to see you there
Emma

Hi Emma,

I think this years day will be worth making the effort to attend.... especially as Dr. Adam Mead will give a presentation on PCRs and how to interpret the results. I think this is the first time that we will have a session dedicated to PCR.
Also those with stable PCRs at or below MMR (0.1%) will be hear about the upcoming DESTINY trial- designed to assess whether individuals can maintain a good molecular responses at 50% dose of their TKI...and if so go on to try stopping altogether. The DESTINY trial will open very soon and is unique to the UK.

The agenda looks very interesting this year- with one of the breakout sessions solely for carers, another for pregnancy/fertility etc. as well as the PCR 101.

Looking forward to meeting up,

Sandy
