You are here
My Six month PCR . thank you all
Hi Thomas.... wow, well done. You can dance and dance on in celebration.
0.1% is MMR according to the international standard (IS)- so you are well below that-
MR4 = 0.01%
MR4.5 = 0.035%
MR5 = 0.001%.....
this is more or less where you are at 0.002%!
You should be very happy,
Sandy
Hi Sandy
Thank you for kind words. Are you saying that I have reached 4.5 log now (.002 %) ? I am happy even with an MMR :)
Hi Thomas,
well yes at least MR4.5- as this is equal to 0.032% (IS) but your result is 0.002% so is virtually at MR5/0.001% (IS). By anyone's calculation this is a good result at 6 months.
Remember the most important thing with PCR results is to maintain some kind of stability np matter whether it is MR3; MR4 or lower. As long as the next result is more or less in the same range, you can start to be more confident that you will see equally low and stable MRs over the coming months/years. If your goal is to eventually try to stop TKI therapy, then low MRs for at least 2 or 3 years would help you towards considering trying a stopping trial.
Well done,
Sandy
