Very hard time with the side effects.. it’s to the point where it unbearable... I just trying to get through everyday as positive as I can.. because at this point I just want to stop the Chemo... Thanks

Hi Paula!

Sorry to hear about the real bad side effects of Sprycel.

What dosage are you on and can't your Oncologist adjust the dosage accordingly?

I'm brand new with CML, but stopping your meds sounds like a very bad idea  (IMHO)

Hello... I’m on 100mg. It’s just ALOT OF LEG PAIN. makes it hard to walk and do thing... I actually tried stopping my Chemo for some relief but my cancer came back a month later so I absolutely had to go back on it.. but the side effects are terrible... are you on sprycel? If so do you have any side effects??? Thanks

PT - You might be having a deep deficiency in Magnesium given the leg pain. Full dose Sprycel can easily cause deficiency to occur.

Consider taking 400 mg (split morning and just before sleep) of Magnesium (as magnesium citrate or taurate) with a glass of water. It may help alleviate the leg pain - especially at night.

I am not a doctor, but was suggested I do this for my Sprycel leg cramps by my oncologist several years ago and it worked great. I continue to take Magnesium every day.

If your PCR is stable at MMR or better, dose reduction should definitely be on the table with your doc.
