Importance of Magnesium video by a Cardio guy

Categories:

Hi all

I know a number of folk here on the forum find Magnesium has helped them, and recommend it even when the blood results show normal. This video explains why we could all do with some more in our diet.

For those interested to supplement, ionic magnesium or magnesium glycinate seem to be absorbed best.

Thank you for the link to the video. This add a little authority to the story. I ordered magnesium but it appears to be magnesium oxide. I wonder whether this is satisfactory or whether I should reorder.

A guide to the different Magnesium complex':

Magnesium Oxide is the least expensive and the least absorbed. It is what is used in laxatives because most of it stays in your intestines hence it's laxative effect.

I take Magnesium Taurate for its added heart benefit. Magnesium glycinate is similar in that it is bound to an amino acid, but with a brain function assist vs heart. I focus on my heart so Taurate for me.

Thank you, Scuba. I cannot afford a laxative effect with the problems that I already have with imatinib generics. I will junk the former when they arrive and I have reordered.

I purchased magnesium taurate. The package indicates "MAGNESIUM TAURATE" but in small letters shows "Magtein Magnesium L-Threonate, Magnesium Glycinate, Magnesium Taurate". All capitalisation is as shown on the package.

Is it correct that the product sold as magnesium taurate contains these three ingredients?
