Has anyone had experience with chest pain/pulmonary issues with dasatinib? If so, how was it resolved? What did it feel like? If it was a matter of going off the Sprycel how long did it take to abate?
I'm having a lot of chest pain, trembling in my chest, fullness in my chest, for the past 2-3 weeks. Sometimes mild, often nothing, sometimes quite disturbing. The worst times it is not so much that the pain inside my chest is that strong. I also get trembling, nausea, burning across my my collarbone and shoulder blades and breasts, other random pains, and nausea. I am not inordinately short of breath as would be expected with a heart attack. Just the usual Sprycel short of breath. My hematologist does not think this is related to the Sprycel or CML and suggested ibuprofen. I've not taken the Sprycel for the last couple days trying to calm this situation down, which he feels indicates it is not a Sprycel side effect. I just came from my regular doctor and EKG was basically normal. I had a chest x-ray, normal, D-Dimer normal.
I was a very healthy person up until the CML, no pains, no problems, no trouble being active. I was sick for a few months leading up to the diagnosis in May 2019, but nothing like I've been in the months of treatment from that point. So either I have another unrelated and undiscovered problem that has been causing all this, or it is the treatment. Either way this is not feeling at all worth the effort these days.
