Was wondering if anyone has experienced Liver enlargement since starting medication. Just had scan my liver is over double it’s normal size. It’s 17.5cm and should be 7.5
(it was a normal size in May 19) the strange think is my Liver function bloods are all normal. Consultant doesn’t think it’s the TKI’s?
Im on Nilotinib. But going to be changing to Dasatinib soon because my BCR is increasing

I have done a quick search and understand that average liver sizes are as follows:
6.4 cm for 1 to 3 months
7.6 cm for 4 to 9 months
8.5 cm for 1 to 5 years
10.5 cm for 5 to 11 years
11.5 to 12.1 cm for 12 to 16 years
13.5 cm +/- 1.7 cm for adult women
14.5 cm +/- 1.6 cm for adult men
If your liver size is 17.5 cms that means it is only 3 cms above average size for and adult male. So maybe have another talk to your haematologist about whether this is something to worry about.
