Does anyone do that? Please reply...

Hi to everyone!
I want to share with you my fear-fobia and why I am afraid of supplementing .....I have started to take vitamin D3 4000iu
Yesterday I was looking the ingredients that the pill contains (except cholycalrsoferol) and I am thinking if something of these ingredients interferes with sprycel.... I think I am over acting but I am not sure... I want to take more vitamins because is good for my health but my my fear doesn t let me do it... I am so angry and stressed...

Mine just has soybean oil, gelatin, vegetable glycerine and corn oil as additives.  I've not heard that any of these can interact with TKIs.  I've been taking these for years and I'm doing fine.

Mine has a lot more.....I mean do I have to do this? Every time I buy a vitamin checking the ingredients...?

It sounds to me you’re having a case of OCD. Do you have a history of this? I can also have OCD traits at times and it is normally brought on by extended periods of stress and anxiety.

Please forgive if that was rude in anyway and not my intention but it seems you do scan every ingredient.

As far as I recall you’ve had a great response to TKI so whatever you have been having or doing hasn’t had any impact on CML or your TKI.

But in answer to your question if I do it too the answer is no I only do what the literature states that’s avoid grapefruit.

I think personally with all that we consume in life i am sure there are interactions in the body all the time some good some bad and it’s impossible for drug manufacturers and food suppliers to have every single possible combination and cause and effect.

Cognitive behavioural therapy or just therapy is good for these kinds of anxiety’s. I practice mindfulness when life gets hard.

Hi Alex!! Yes I have ocd!!
I have periods that I totally control it and periods that I can 't.
I ve done cognitive behavioural therapy for 2 years and that is why I can live without antidepressants...
I know that o will over come it again but I felt the need ask hear my question.. It is always very help ful! Thanks for your reply Alex!

re - supplements.  I do weight training/resistance training. It’s always been part of my life style before and after CML

I have had the conversation a few times with my CML consultant about supplements ( it’s a big thing in the body building world ). 

Generally - I take a VIT D , multi vit, and a protein drink. So far this as done me no harm. I always check labels and if in doubt just ask your DR.

My doc has forbidden every supplement like protein, creatin etc... He told me that maybe will interact with Sprycel.
But I can take only vitamins.
I do crossfit and I feel the need to take protein creatin to help me but... What can you do....
