Long Time to Reach MMR

Categories:

Hi All,

As an update I've finally reached MMR (0.09%). It took 39 months and seems rather anticlimactic as I went from 0.11% at 36 months to 0.09% at 39 months and I know the difference is in the error of the test. However, it was still worth celebrating for me and resulted in one too many pina coladas. Just another example that some of us are very slow to respond but will continue a downward trend if we stick with it. Thanks everyone for the support. I'm hoping to gradually lower my dose but don't plan on pursuing this until I've had at least several more results below 0.1%.

Thank You,

Ian

Congratulations!  Very happy for you.  As you know I have been keeping tabs on your results and Alex's as well.  I stayed in MMR in my labs a couple of weeks ago so that was a relief.  Bouncing a little but still MMR so I will take it.  It is crazy how the lines drawn capture our attention so much.  My last two were 0.043% to 0.054%.  I am not concerned but it is still in the wrong direction.  I missed like 6 doses which is very rare for me and looking at my overall trend for the year it should stay there or drop further the next time around.  Anyhow Congrats to you and I hope you keep trending down.

Happy for you, onward and downward :)

Ah congratulations mate 🥳! You throughly deserve it. It was yourself, Coloradoguy and I that seemed to linger around 0.1.

Mate that drop on paper makes all the difference. My last 6 months have been my easiest since diagnosis because of my MMR news. I was on a high for ages. Like months, then the worry starts to come back a little come test time again. “Am I still MMR”. So the worry never leaves it just changes. But with that said getting to MMR is a massive achievement and I am sure your plateau as ours did is tiring and meds are slowly winning the battle.

Honestly couldn’t be happier for you and I know how much this is going to lift your spirits. Congrats buddy.

Al!

Congratulations mate!

Hearing your results actually made me feel even better, because it took my roughly 3 years to reach that level as well. Glad your results have been positive!
