Hello, hope you are all ok .I am 64 , and two months into my fifth year of having CML and I have been undetected for 2 years 3 months .I am currently on 20 mg Dasatinib, and have been for about 16 months .I am wondering if I could reduce my dose to 20 mg every other day at some time to attempt TFR at the end of this year or is it too early yet .I know if I mention this to my doc it will be refused .Thought I would ask you lovely people for advice before I ask .Thank you ,Denise.
You are here

Denise, gradually reducing your dose from Dasatinib 20mg to 10mg would likely be better for you; i.e., skipping every fourth day would effectively average 15mg/day, before skipping every other day averaging 10mg/day. If you continue to reduce your dose beyond 10mg/day. you could slowly either wean yourself completely off the Dasatinib or at least find the lowest maintenance dose possible.
Wishing you the best on whatever choice you make.
