I have been taking imatinib for 18 years, and I have become used to its brown skin, and its lozenge shape. I have now been given new shape and a new colour. Although it is not particularly a problem, I asked my wife to compare imatinib with 45mg Mirtazipine. She said marginally different colour, and thickness. I moved them to a wider space and changed them, and she could not be clear as to which one was which. I have a lot of generic drugs, but they generally keep the same shape and colour. I don’t think it is a good plan to make them mimic other drugs.
