I've been taking 100mg Dasatinib for a little over a year. I had a 2nd bone marrow biopsy at 12 months due to two rising PCR results at 9 and 10.5 months that showed no mutations.
3 month - 2.4% (log 1.62)
6 month - 0.41% (log 2.4)
9 month - 0.71% (log 2.15) 10.5 month - 1% (log 1.99)
12 month (via PCR) - 0.5% (log 2.33)
12 month (via FISH) - 2% (log 1.7)
My question is the difference between the PCR and FISH at 12 months: Which result should I put my weight in? I would be happy (but obviously not ecstatic) with the PCR results, but the FISH muddies the waters a bit.
I understand that FISH is looking at a small number of cells, and PCR is looking at many more cells in peripheral blood.
