Nilotinib has been associated with increased risk of peripheral artery disease (PAD), 1–3 coronary artery disease, and cerebrovascular events. 4–6 We present the cases of 3 patients who experienced ischemic strokes during long-term treatment with nilotinib.
i was diagnosed with CML 22 years ago. was put on nilotinib in 2014. i had 2 strokes TIA in 2020. its been investigated and found that the drug caused this to happen.my blood pressure was not checked as it should have been. i didn't see an hematologist for 6 years just saw a nurse specialist. I'm now for the last 5 years in a wheelchair cannot walk, work or drive .please if you have any problems see your doctor asap. I'm now taking bosutinib.
