Hi to all, silly question really, but my daughter is concerned because my 14 month old grandson is due to have the MMR VACCINE this Friday and she is worried that I may be at risk because it is a live Vaccine so can anyone give advice on this one I don't think that there is anything to worry about but would like to tell her that I've been on the web site and taken advise thanks Sue D
You are here
live vaccine
Hi Sue
I was advised not to change nappies and come into contact with bodily fluids when my grandaughter had her injections but I was just coming out of transplant and was very immunosuppressed. I would just say to be a bit careful for a few days but I cannot foresee any problems. Just leave the potty and nappies to others for a while !
See you in Edinburgh.

ps. are you coming to the CML Support evening ?
Sue
I was diagnosed with CML in Oct 2004. I also have worked, with CMl, in a live virus manufacturing facility. You are perfectly safe the virus is modified to produce anti-bodies and not give you the disease.
