Hi to you all. I am so pleased to say that my local PCT have agreed to fund Nilotinib for me (very bad side effects on Glivec). I was at the clinic yesterday and have collected my first supply, so start taking them today! I am very excited & looking forward to feeling much better.

so glad things have worked out well for you ;o)) nilotinib and dasatinib do not have cross intolerance with imatinib or each other, so you should see a lot of the problems you had with imatinib disappear. I am sure that Pennie Douglas who also had a lot of side effects from imatinib and recently changed therapy to nilotinib, will be able to advise you and changing drugs and provide you with some tips.

Dear all, just wondering if anyone has experianced a rash whilst on nilotinib? I develped this after only being on the drug for 4 days. i have had a sore mouth as well but thats getting better. I phoned the hospital yesterday & went straight in to see consultant. I also have a very strong (and regular) heart beat I can feel it beating in my chest! i am now on anti histamine, Clarityn, which is helping a little, but my scalp is very tender and sore, I hope things will settle down soon. Any advise from anyone else would be good.
