Dr. Cortez talks about bosutinib

My question is that as we are new molecules like ponatinb and other many NCEs in pipe line then what is  the best benifit from bosutinib.

As I saw the litreture, their is no results found regarding PK of bosutinib in animals.

Are bosutinib water soluble or not?

Thanks and regards,

Durgesh

Of course there are other TKI's in clinical trial, not only bosutinib and ponatinib- particularly effective in those with T315i mutation. many companies are interested in this area and the success of each molecule will depend on the target for which each drug is used.

We wait until the data from the clinical trials of bosutinib are published further on into next year- currently Pfizer have started an NICE STA process for bosutinib in 1st line use in the UK. David, as a representative of CML Support Group attended the scoping meeting recently. The STA is expected in the latter half of 2012

i am not sure of the actual point you are making here. do you think there are too many? I think that bosutinib is the same delivery method as all the other TKI's- it is taken orally and must therefore be water soluble as the others are.

I hope this aswers your question
