9month PCR test result back and big hooray!!!

Hi everyone
BIG thank you to all who posted about me needing a transplant if my 9 month PCR test did not come back below 10%. It was a very worrying 2weeks but thankfully I have good news, my PCR result came back as 0.08!!!! How amazing is that???? My consultant was astounded by my progress, just shows you what the drugs can do if you get them in me! Platelets are now stable at 90 too. So I am now in MMR I believe, what an amazing turn around from last few results (although I thought 31% at 6 months was good considering I had to keep stopping Nilotinib because my platelets dropped.) so not being too greedy I am still hoping for that extra 0, how important is a four log reduction?
Thanks again, good luck to all

Hey, congratulations!  It took me 21 months to get to that stage, and I thought I was doing pretty OK...    Keep that big smile!

Hi Emma,

Well done you, i know how worried you were the other day at Hammersmith meeting and my wife and i spoke after about you, so pleased you have reduced such an amazing amount, here to the future.

Nigel

This is brill news well done, hope i follow the same path x

Thank you so much everyone!
Nigel - I was really worried, I know Transplants have really come on and I had an excellent chance but having two young children I just didn't want to have to go down that path. Thank you for thinking of me!
Emma, still smiling x

I have everything crossed for you!!! X

Congratulations - having seen how worried you were at the HH meeting I bet you really were over the moon - keep going for that extra 0!

Kx

Congratulations, really happy for you. x

Dear Emma,

good to read your news and read about your big smile too. Well done and congratulations. Keep downing those drugs and I am sure you will see another zero soon. 3 log reduction -0.003 is the goal (CMR) so you are not far off. 4 log is even better and it looks like (as long as your platelets behave themselves) you might be on track for that.

Best... Sandy

Hi Emma

I was at the meeting at HH and heard your questions and dilemma, I just wanted to say that I am so glad that you just had such excellent results. Long may they continue.

regards

Susan

Sorry for the late comment but I have been very busy, but well done Emma. Keep it up. Glad to hear things are getting better.  Lets hope your PCR result next time will be lower again.
