CML Horizons 2013, the 11th annual international conference for organizations representing people with CML was held from 3 to 5 May 2013 in Prague, Czech Republic. We were thrilled to have 141 participants from almost 60 countries attending this year´s conference. Video streams, presentations of all sessions as well as a photo gallery are now available! The web streams provide the opportunity for all those that could not join us in Prague to see the state of play in CML treatment and CML patient advocacy.

Yes, thanks for this Sandy. What a great conference it must have been. The comments and research from all corners of the globe about quality of life issues on individual drugs were of particular interest to me having been on 600mg Imatinib since 2001. My own thinking is that my new severe fatigue is because after so long on Imatinib and my increasing older age I no longer tolerate the drug as well as I used to. I was told by my specialist that I got Pernicious Anaemia last year as a direct result of having been on Imatinib so long. Some of the research articles at the conference suggest that not enough is really being done about quality of life issues on TKs and they suggest that they must try harder! Armed with the conference sayings on this matter I will have another 'good go' with my own specialist.
