Where are you being treated? If it is a specialist haematology centre- and therefore experienced in treatment of CML with TKIs - they should know that one of the adverse events caused by dasatinib (Sprycel) is the build up of fluid in the lungs known as pleural effusion. This is a serious side effect and your treatment with dasatinib may have to be withdrawn until your lungs are clear. The risk of this recurring may be a problem and you may be advised to change therapy to one of the other TKIs such as imatinib, nilotinib, ponatinib or bosutinib- This depends on your individual case and/or where you are being treated.
I assume your treatment with dasatinib has been stopped while you are being treated for pleural effusion with thoracentesis?
