Hello... Hope everyone is safe at their places...I am keerthi pathipati, 19 yr old from india.. patient of cml since 2011...i've been using imatinib 300mg for 8 years.. Later found that i've got resistant to them.. So they've stopped working on me... Later i was prescribed with dasatininb 140mg.. Using it since 2019..currently on it...and doing good

We all know that india's going through a lot of tension.. Lot of fatality.. No oxygen supply , beds, ventilators, proper medical assistance ...since i am a CML patient with very low immunity ..iam Really tensed right now.. I am Mentally stressed out thinking of it...r there any foods, supplements to develop immunity... And it woukd be great if u share any knowledge regarding fight with covid... Thank u

Hello mam I'm Mukesh also from India...imatinib resistant within 1 year currently on tasigna 200×4 a day.... recently I met my doctor and told him the same situation as you are describing it...he told me if the reports are coming good then you are at the same level with healthy one...don't stress it...take medicine and supplements as prescribed...if you are feeling symptoms of it...go get tested...and also mam you have been fighting CML for 8 years...you don't know how strong you are...

Hi Keerthi - The most important thing you can do is to make sure your vitamin D level is above 50 ng/ml (requires blood test). Supplementing with 5,000 IU's vitamin D3 (converts to D in the body) can help insure this level, but only a blood test will confirm.

Vitamin D activates T-cells which fight respiratory virus' including Covid. Studies show patients with low vitamin D status have much greater risk from Covid than those with high normal levels. And there have been no documented cases whatsoever of anyone hospitalized with Covid having a high vitamin D status.

I am surprised you are prescribed 140 mg dasatinib. That dose is very high and usually prescribed for patients in accelerated phase of CML.
