Ponatinib

Categories:

I've been 8 days on 45 mg Ponatinib and doing weekly blood tests.

Two weeks ago I went from someone who walked everywhere and did at least two Pilates classes a week to wanting to sleep all the time and hardly able to shuffle the length of myself.

But today I was able to climb the stairs in one go though I was breathless at the top.

I think I'm feeling the tiniest bit better.

It seems it takes a month for Ponatinib to become completely effective.

Rosiem, your last PCR on 26 Oct was 0.03 so hopefully you will be able to quickly reduce your Ponatinib dosage.  From everything that I have read and heard Ponatinib is a difficult TKI to take, especially at the full 45mg dosage.

Wishing you the best,
Buzz

Thanks Buzz, dose reduction asap. It's so wonderful to wake up after a good night's sleep and feel on the mend.
