Ponatinib/Iclusig side effects

Good morning,

Hope everyone is well. I was recently started on Ponatinib 30mg daily on 2/13/22 and a few days ago the side effects are starting to creep in. Mostly joint pain and fatigue so far, hopefully stays that way lol. My question to everyone is does anyone take vitamins with Iclusig or any other TKI for that matter and what vitamins do you take? Are they safe, etc? I’ll be honest I never really get a straight answer from my onc about taking ANYTHING with my TKI. Only thing they have ever told me I CAN take would be occasional Tylenol and Benadryl if I had a reaction. But everything else I’ve asked about is a “Well ya know blah blah blah” lol.
Thanks for any assistance

There have been others of us who did not get under 0.1 quickly. I believe BDMemphis, Ipmaki, Alex, and myself to name a few. I believe we were all in our late 30's or early 40's when diagnosed. As far as I know we are all now under 0.1. BDMemphis has been inactive for some time, but he recently ran for congress so I think he is doing fine. Scuba has experience in having to cycle treatment in order to get his cbc in a good place. I would read up on those posts if you have not already. We don't want to cycle through every single TKI when there are other options (lower dose/cycled dose/etc.). Ponatinib may be harder on your cbc.

I was on Dasatinib 100mg for the first 18 months and did not get under 0.1. I switched to Nilotinib after a jump from 0.32 to 1.2 without mutation testing. Nilotinib 600mg a day got me under 0.1 in about nine months (5 and a half years since diagnosis).

I had a recent rise from 0.017, 0.017, 0.031, 0.029

These things happen. I believe two zeroes to the right are coming soon and also know that there is no difference in survival between 0.1 and anything under that (just might not see TFR).
