Anniversaries

Just back from my latest check-up at Durham, and noted a few anniversaries with my specialist I thought I would share.

It is 5 years since my diagnosis, just after my 50th birthday.

It took me 18 months to get to MMR, and today marks 3 years since my first 0.00% PCR.

We are starting to talk about stopping my imatinib, but my specialist (in Durham) has not had anyone who stopped. She will discuss my case with the Prof at Newcastle who is the regional expert.

Grateful thanks to Dr Drucker, Novartis, and all those on here, expecially Sandy. I now need to help make sure that those who don't respond to, or can't tolerate, imatinib have a full range of options available to enable them to get where I have.

A good day - just hope I can win my Cleveland league tennis match tonight to make it a double celebration.

Congratulations on all those milestones/anniversaries...actually maybe not the first one ;o) but especially the 3 years stable MMR at 0.00%.

Best of luck for a win with your league tennis match tonight.

Sandy
