Pcr results

Hi can I ask please how my below results look to everyone?

I know im told im in a safe place and to not worry but i cant help but worry that maybe my leukemia is becoming resistant to tki? Or worse

Dx 100%
Then put on imatinib results 3 monthly:
0.444
0.067
0.324
0.021
0.036
0.070
0.008
0.049
0.055 now on wokhardt generic

I do have every faith in my care team they say they are not worried so I know I should not be.

Just after some more reassurance I suppose.

Looks really good to me. You are in MMR which is a safe place to be. No sign of any resistance with these results. It took me 7 years to get below MMR down to MR4 which is one extra zero . Relax - all is fine.

Best

Chrissie

Hi there,

One question ... do you know if your results are reported on the International Scale or not?

European Leukaemia Net have a set of standards which define an optimal response, a warning or a failure.

Based on your most recent result, you are in MMR (or MR3) because your PCR result is lower than 0.1%, but higher than 0.01%. That's a perfectly safe place to be, with disease progression unlikely. Great!

In case you're interested, you were significantly under the 10% level required for an optional response at 3 months. You were lower than 1% at 6 months, which is also "optimal". By 12 months, you achieved MMR which again is "optimal". And after that, MMR is considered optional. So you have had an optimal response ever since the beginning of your treatment, and continue to be in an optimal position. You even achieved MR4 (on the 0.008% result) at one point.

A great set of results, you should feel very reassured!

David.

Thank you David thats a great help!! Yes my results on IS scale I believe.

Thank you again for taking the time to reply.
