Well I am now back on 300mgs imatinib again as of tomorrow after taking 200mgs since Jan 2019. My PCRs have slowly risen from 0.004 (Dec 2018) to 0.05 (July 2019). Still MMR and safe and my haem was happy for me to hang on for a bit longer on 200mgs but I want to avoid going back onto full dose and as I held at MR4 for 18+ months on 300mgs we decided to try this. Still tested every 6 weeks. Disappointed but I have such problem swallowing tablets that the longer I can stay on 3x100mgs the better for me as they are tiny. I am sure if I need 400mgs the pharmacy will send me the large bullet. Same thing happened on the DESTINY trial and I lost MMR in Month 12 on half dose. However I hoped as I started from low MR4 half dose may suffice. I don't want to change TKI as I get minimal side effects on imatinib and have got on OK with it for the past 10 yrs. If you are put back on the large tablets in the future, don't forget you can dissolve imatinib and drink it.

Thanks David. Yes i knew about drinking it in apple juice but have avoided this over the past 10 yrs as i would imagine the taste is foul. However if I have to go onto 400mgs again and I get the generic, Accord, I will have to dissolve the tablet as i understand these are huge.
