Hi guys, i am in my almost one year and a half treatment with Imatinib 400mg, i never had any problem with my lab tests, but three weeks ago i changed my imatinib from one brand to another one due to that the one that i used to take was discontinued in my country. I’ve been feeling nauseous, tired and not so well, also noticed more fragility in my vessels, and i had blood eyes recently, so i decided to take lab test one week ago and all was fine but my bilirrubins are kind of high 1.7, i don’t understand why...is it due to the new brand imatinib? What should i do, i am worried about it, any advice, please, i will be glad to read it. Thank you

bilirrubins
My total bili hit 1.9 about 2.5 months after initiation of treatment with 600 mg/day Tasigna (9/2016). My doc and I both think it was the Tasigna that caused it. Fortunately, it resolved on it's own in a little less than 3 months later and has been below 1.0 ever since. 1.7 isn't critically high, but you will want to retest periodically to make sure it comes down. I assume your doc is aware of this result?
You could even consider dose reduction if you have reached MMR.
