Just wanted to share some positivity for those who may be dwelling on their situation, or new to it.
I was diagnosed with chronic phase CML 6 years ago by happen chance prior to age 30. 200k+ wbc, 2% blasts. I started on imatinib, went to Tasigna, and eventually 500mg Bosulif (which I remain on) for response concerns, rather than side effects. I experienced fluctuating I.S pcr results, despite diligent medication adherence, a conscientious diet and monitoring other medication/supplement interactions. Although barely ccyr at 12 mos. I missed MMR at 24 mos, and only achieved that at 30 mos, once on Bosulif. I've remained MMR since, but still experienced fluctuating results since, sometimes doubling or tripling the previous result.
I recently changed labs to another I.S lab and came back "undetected" 2 mos. ago. hesitant to celebrate, I can graciously report a second consecutive "undetected", today.
I hope this helps someone out there who needs some peace of mind, or is experiencing a similar journey.
I lived in terror for several years and still get anxious the week before the tests.
Don't be afraid of different medications or initial side effects; which your body will often adapt to, and overcome after several weeks.
best wishes everyone👍🙏
