1st PCR result

Hi
Just wanted to share my PCR result today. From 69% at diagnosis to 9.62% at 3 months. I was pleased. Dr also seemed happy. I just wanted to post my results as when I was first diagnosed I found peoples results and trends really valuable.

I had a good one today too - 0.076 at 21 months.  MMR at last!

Olivia

Thats great news you must feel on top of the world. Celebration required tonight!!!
Lynne

Many congratulations on what is, in the scheme of things, a fast response into MMR. Your news has inspired us to go forward with confidence when we attend the appeal hearing on 4th November- even though we are appealing 2nd line TKI's this proves the concept of this class of drugs.

Best wishes,

Sandy

Hi Lynne............ well done! just 3 months and you have had a  major cytogenetic response and a drop of 60%. Just what you/we want to see.

Best wishes,

Sandy

Hi,

I like good news! Well done to all.

At the begriming of July my PCR significantly changed & went up to 2.7 as I had to stop treatment due to intolerance. I restarted Bosutinib a few weeks later & my last weeks  PCR showed a reduction to 0.155 even though I am only on 100mg, the normal dose being 500mg. Just waiting to hear if i can have Ponatinib. Where would we be without all these new TKL'S?

Hi Ali

It was good to talk the other day.So pleased to see that your PCRs have come down now. Congratulations - and to Olivia and Lyndsey as well. I am going to Cardiff on the 12th - so we may meet!

All the best

Chrissie

Hi Ali,

this is such good news. You are obviously very sensitive to TKI therapy- given your current response to such a low dose of bosutinib. It must be such a relief for you given your experiences over the last year with intolerance to other TKI's available. Is ponatinib being considered because it has less/different side effect profile than bosutinib

Best wishes and congratulations on that drop in bcr/abl

Sandy

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for you kind words, its been such a relief for now.  My liver continues not to like Bosutinib, ALT is around 170, although the last one showed 118 for some reason. I think Ponatinib is less likely to cause problems with the liver but we shall have to see!

All the best.

Ali

well done! really good news, congratulations!
